Dr Gavin Johnson is a general gastroenterologist with a special interest in interventional endoscopy and pancreaticobiliary medicine. Dr Johnson performs ERCP and intestinal stenting, as well as diagnostic endoscopy. He is a consultant gastroenterologist at University College Hospital, and a senior lecturer in medical education at UCL Medical School. Dr Johnson is the education lead for gastroenterology at both University College Hospital and UCL Medical School, and has developed a number of postgraduate gastroenterology and endoscopy courses. Dr Johnson is the editor of UEGF OLGa (Online Learning in Gastroenterology) and an associate editor of Frontline Gastroenterology. He also chairs the Education Committee of the British Society of Gastroenterology.
Dr Johnson studied at Newcastle University, and undertook postgraduate training in medicine and gastroenterology in the North East, Sydney and London.
