  • Biography

I qualified from the Royal London Hospital in 1992 and carried out my general medical and rheumatology clinical training in various London hospitals. From 2000 I carried out Arthritis Research UK funded clinical research (PhD) and Clinical Scientist Fellowships at University College London. I was appointed Senior Lecturer and Honorary Consultant Rheumatologist at University College London Hospital in 2007 and promoted to Reader in 2011. My clinical practice encompasses the whole spectrum of rheumatological disease from carpal tunnel syndrome to complex multisystem conditions such as lupus. My specialist clinical and research interests focus upon the diagnosis and long term management of patients with autoimmune rheumatic diseases such as lupus, Sjogren’s syndrome, antiphospholipid syndrome, all forms of inflammatory arthritis and management of these conditions in pregnancy.
